AF: 31 Victims So Far in Sex Scandal

WASHINGTON -- At least 31 female trainees have been identified as victims in a widening sex scandal targeting a dozen instructors at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, the Air Force revealed Thursday, providing new details in an investigation that has rocked the service's training command.

No words to describe how angry this makes me.

I could devise punishments, if only they would let me.

being a former leo as well, i try to give the benefit of the doubt. real rapes are seldom reported while false claims abound.it seems there is a "pile-on" mentality in these cases, and people trying to get money too. i was accused twice while serving my 29 military years and had never even met one of the accusers. the other one passed by my room cursing about how "she shouldn't be required to stay in a rundown barracks like this". next morning i was on the carpet. housing wouldn't move her, she cursed them and made up charges on myself and 2 others to get moved over to the officers quarters. then there was the daycare case in the 80's. a guy and his mother served years in jail before all the kids came forward to deny the charges, that police pushed them into it. i also don't like the double standard implied. an 18 yo man is culpable for his actions, even if impaired by alcohol, but an 18 yo female that makes a poor decision is a victim? hmmm, doesn't say much for equality. in any case, show me the evidence then i'll decide.

This one boils down to the 'command climate'... The instructors used their 'power' to pull this crap because the students were scared of being failed... I've got a few ideas on the punishment too...

Rob - Amen

A Girl - My bloggers skillz at work

riverider - I don't think it's "pile on". I think it's horny drill instructors getting laid at the cost of their integrity.

Old NFO - Correctamundo. The Lt Col in charge already resigned.

Anon - Chemical? Why be so choosy?
